Aussiedoodles are a mix between a Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. There are several generations that incorporate more or less poodle. The generations are categorized with the F1 and F2. I have copied a diagram below to help you understand what all the F1, F1b, F2b, ETC means.
Aussiedoodles are highly intelligent and very active and energetic. The are very easy to train and have a natural instinct to herd. They will herd other pets and their humans and they do this with barking and nipping. New puppy parents need to understand the energy and instincts before choosing an Aussiedoodle. They are considered a designer breed, bred to shed less and be more hypoallergenic than the average Australian Shepherd. There is no such thing a 100% hypoallergenic dog but there are genetic tests that can be done to know how much a dog is likely to shed and in turn produces less dander.
There are a variety of different sized Aussiedoodles but they all come with big hearts full of love.
Standard Aussiedoodles can weigh between 40-55+ pounds and stand above 16 inches.
Mini Aussiedoodles can weigh 25-40 Pounds and stand 11-16 inches.
