Brightness Beauties Contract update

Important Information:

Getting a new puppy is a big decision and should not be taken lightly or decided on a whim. Puppies are a lot of work and take time, patience, and money. Here at Brightness Beauties we want all new puppy parents to be informed and prepared for their new bundle of joy. Puppies are rambunctious, playful, and full of energy and they need your guidance and correction to help them grow into well mannered dogs. If you are not prepared to put in the time, patience, and money with your new puppy then please do not inquire about ours. Golden Retrievers are faithful and loyal, they will be your protector, partner, and friend until the last beat of their beautiful heart and we only want puppy parents that are worthy of such devotion.

Helping to ease the amount of Golden Glitter. Golden Retrievers require regular grooming and daily upkeep. A new puppy parent needs to understand that this is an important part of a puppy/dog’s care, along with regular vet visits and vaccinations.

Our Beauties go home between 8-9 weeks of age. They receive one NeoPar Vaccination at 5 weeks and one 5-1 puppy vaccination at 7 weeks. Our puppies receive a microchip at 8 weeks and we remain as a permanent secondary contact. We use Badass Breeder techniques and introduce all puppies to a crate. We send the puppy home with their shot record, a sample of their food, Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy food and a blanket that smells of mom and siblings. We ask that all new puppy parents purchase a bag of the food prior to picking up your new family member. We give a one year health guarantee that covers genetic disorders. All new puppy parents will sign a contact with us.

Puppy Training is an important part of raising your new family member.  We partner with Baxter & Bella Online training school to offer our new puppy parents access to the best at home training.  With the lifetime membership you will have access to live online classes, podcasts, and a wealth of valuable help.  The cost is very reasonable with our discount code BEAUTIES, it comes out to less than $180 for the lifetime membership, no monthly fees or additional costs.

The health testing on our parent dogs in no way implies an additional health guarantee on our puppies.

DISCOUNTS:

I want to bring Golden Retrievers and families together for a reasonable price. I also offer a $100 discount for Military, First Responder, K-12 Teachers, and Returning Customers. Only one discount applied per customer.

VISITS:

I do allow visits to my home to meet myself and my parent dogs.  I do not allow visits to meet puppies.  I take the health of my puppies very seriously and I do not want to put them in jeopardy.  I send weekly videos as the puppies grow to every confirmed individual for the specific litter.

AKC PAPERWORK:

All of my Golden Retriever Puppies come with Limited AKC Registration papers unless specifically stated for the litter. I do sell breeding rights to approved breeders only for a additional $1000.  I do not participate in shows nor do I want to get titles for my dogs and I believe this does not take away from the breed

HEALTH TESTING:

All of our parent dogs are genetically health tested through Embark and are cleared for breeding.  All test results are listed on each parent dog’s BIO.  I DO NOT participate in structure testing with OFA or PENNHIP.  After much research on this I have learned: Getting a puppy from cleared parents does not guarantee it will not develop issues, The environment that a dog grows and lives in plays a huge roll in hip and elbow issues ie, stairs, hiking, swimming, ETC, all of these can have a negative impact on a dog’s joints. OFA results are subjective, a set of x-rays can be sent in and one individual can rate them borderline and another rate them fair and breeders have the opportunity to have x-rays reread. Eye certification requires an exam for genetic disorders every year, what if something is detected when the dog is 4 and has been used for breeding since it was 2?  Genetic testing does test for the most common eye disorders and I know up front if there is a possible issue.  In my opinion, some of the testing just does not make much sense.

I do offer a health guarantee for all of my puppies without the need for my puppy parents to buy a special food or purchase certain vitamins.  I strive to offer healthy, happy, and affordable family pets, if additional testing is important to you then I am not the breeder for you.

THE MERLE PATTERN/GENE:

For my past Goldendoodle Puppies

When it comes to Merle poodles and Goldendoodles I want to be as transparent as I can be.  From what I have read and researched about the Merle poodle: Someone, somewhere bred a poodle to a Merle dog, (could be a number of different breeds so I am not going to list every possible scenario) this person then bred a Merle poodle mix back to a poodle through many generations until the DNA came back 100% poodle.  This means that somewhere in the ancestry of every Merle poodle is another breed or breeds that the Merle came from.  This being said, I do not care how Merle was introduced to my poodles, I think they are gorgeous and very unique and I just love them.

SPAY/NEUTER:

We do not have a spay/neuter contract.  We believe that when you purchase a puppy it is your decision as to what is best for him or her.  Golden Retrievers with limited AKC registration does not allow you to breed your dog and register the puppies.  We do not change registration papers at a later date if you decide you want to breed your dog.  Our Goldendoodles do not come with registration papers, therefore breeding rights from us is not something associated with them.  They are a mixed breed and not recognized by the AKC.

STUD SERVICE:

I do offer stud service for  $1500.  Females must be genetically health tested and clear for breeding.  All of my studs are proven and the fee is due up front at first tie.

PUPPY TRAINING:

We start all of our puppies with Badass Breeder techniques from age 3 days to 8 weeks.  They receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Sound Desensitization Therapy, Socialization, and Beginning Potty and crate Training, just to name a few.

For you, training starts before you even bring your new puppy home

We are super excited to share that we have found an amazing online training option for all of our puppy families that continues what we start. BAXTER & BELLA’S exclusive online puppy school has agreed to now offer our families an instant 25% savings off of their membership!

THE RESERVATION PROCESS:

**We have a waitlist, please understand you can wait anywhere from 1-18 months for one of our puppies depending on the breed.  We have a Master Waitlist for Golden Retrievers and one for Goldendoodles.  As we begin the breeding process we reach out to individuals on the list in order.  You will have 24 hours to confirm you are interested in the upcoming litter or continue to wait for the next litter.

The first step is to read our Brightness Beauties Contract Brightness Beauties LLC Contract and our Important Information page then request to be added to our waitlist for upcoming litters at the bottom of this page.  There is a $100 non-refundable processing fee to be added to our waitlist. An additional $200 deposit to secure your pick is due when pregnancy is confirmed on the litter your are up for.  The fee and deposit are applied to final purchase price.

We confirm pregnancy when our moms are about 30 days pregnant.  Once pregnancy is confirmed and we have an idea of how many puppies we are expecting we reach out to everyone on the waitlist for that litter and the $400 deposit is due at that time.  You will have 24 hours from notification to pay the deposit or you forfeit your spot for that litter.  The remaining balance is due at pick up if paying in cash.  If you want to pay by check please have that to us at least one week prior to go home date.  If you are paying electronically payment is due the day before pick up.

Puppy picks are made in order of deposits when puppies are between 8-9 weeks, when it is time to go to their new home.  We try to be as flexible as possible come pick day, but if a pick cannot be made on the available day in person you must be able to do a video call to make your pick, the process cannot be held up for others. Waitlist form is on our Upcoming Litters page
